Our Six Sigma Commitment

Six Sigma Defined:
Six Sigma is a system designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all business processes, including manufacturing and quality. Its ultimate goal is to improve profitability, enhance total customer satisfaction, and provide meaningful tools and training to employees
in an effort to better harness the considerable skills which reside within a business.

Six Sigma Delivers:
It has been well documented that Six Sigma enables companies to achieve breakthrough improvements in their businesses that are considerably greater in scale than those typically achieved. Additionally, these breakthroughs are achieved much more quickly and predictably. Cookson Electronics’ Six Sigma projects help enhance our customers’ processes, products and profitability.

Six Sigma History:
Six Sigma is an extremely effective quality management methodology developed by Motorola in the 1980s. Allied Signal adopted it in the early 1990s, but it was General Electric that made it the most popular management philosophy in history. Six Sigma was implemented at Cookson Electronics in 2001.
